Metallographic Examination (Microstructure Examination)
In Quasi-S, we are expert in performing metallographic examination by using metallographic microscope (also known as optical microscope). The primary purpose is to identify, reveal and evaluate the details of the metal structures, features and the material’s response to processing (heat treatment, welding), which is too small to be observed under unaided eye (magnification inspection from 50x to 1000x).
Our expert in microstructure examination of a material will provide clients detailed information that used to determine if the structural parameters are within the certain specification which then be used as a criterion for acceptance of rejection. In short, metallographic examination can reveal a great deal about the history of a metal specimen, and how it will act in service.
